Votron 1mg Injection

Votron 1mg Injection is used to prevent and treat nausea and vomiting during chemotherapy. Nausea is an uneasy feeling in which a person feels an urge to vomit, while vomiting is the natural response of the body to expel the stomach contents from the mouth forcefully.

Votron 1mg Injection contains Ondansetron, which works by blocking the action of a chemical in the body (serotonin) responsible for causing nausea and vomiting.

In some cases, Votron 1mg Injection may cause headache, constipation, a feeling of warmth or flushing, redness, and irritation at the site of injection. If the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

If you are allergic to Votron 1mg Injection or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. • Chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting (CINV) : Votron 1mg Injection is used in adults and children to prevent and manage nausea and vomiting caused by cancer chemotherapy.
• Post-operative nausea and vomiting (PONV): Votron 1mg Injection helps prevent and treat nausea and vomiting that may occur after surgery.
• Radiotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting: In adults receiving radiation treatment for cancer, Votron 1mg Injection is used to reduce or prevent nausea and vomiting associated with therapy.

• Follow your doctor’s instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication to ensure safe and effective use.
• Votron 1mg Injection will be administered by the doctor.
• Do not self-administer.

• Votron 1mg Injection contains Ondansetron that blocks the action of serotonin, a chemical that stimulates the vomiting centre (chemoreceptor trigger zone – CTZ) located in the brain.
• Thus, it prevents nausea and vomiting caused by chemotherapy in adults and children, as well as after surgery.

• If you have problems with levels of sodium, magnesium, and potassium salts in your blood, inform your doctor before taking Votron 1mg Injection.
