Azelast Eye Drops 5 ml

Azelast Eye Drops 5 ml belongs to the class of medicines called antihistamines (antiallergics) used to reduce eye inflammation. It is used to prevent and treat eye disorders caused by seasonal and perennial allergic conjunctivitis. Eye inflammation is a common condition in which eyes become swollen and red. 

Azelast Eye Drops 5 ml contains Azelastine, an antiallergic drug that works by blocking the action of histamine, a substance responsible for causing allergic reactions. Thus, it relieves symptoms of allergies and reduces eye inflammation.

Azelast Eye Drops 5 ml is only for ophthalmic use (eyes). You are advised to use Azelast Eye Drops 5 ml for as long as your doctor has prescribed it based on your medical condition. Sometimes, you may experience itching, burning or watering in the eyes as its side effects. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects worsen or persist, please consult your doctor.

Azelast Eye Drops 5 ml is used in the treatment of Eye disorders caused by seasonal and perennial allergic conjunctivitis. The detailed uses of Azelast Eye Drops 5 ml are as follows:

• Treat allergic conjunctivitis: Azelast Eye Drops 5 ml relieves itching, redness, and swelling in the eyes caused by allergens such as pollen, dust, pet dander, and mold.
• Block histamine activity: Azelast Eye Drops 5 ml acts as an antihistamine by preventing the release of histamine from mast cells, reducing allergic symptoms in the eyes.

• Azelast Eye Drops 5 ml is typically used 1-2 times a day, or as prescribed by your healthcare provider, based on the severity of the condition.
• Tilt your head back, gently pull down your lower eyelid to create a small pocket, and instil the prescribed number of drops into the affected eye. Close your eyes for 1-2 minutes.
• Avoid touching the dropper tip to prevent contamination.
