Encid Oral Suspension belongs to a group of medicines called antacids, anti-ulcerants used to treat acidity, bloating, indigestion, heartburn, and gas. Encid Oral Suspension is a combination of two drugs: Magaldrate (antacid) and Simethicone (anti-flatulent). Magaldrate works by neutralising excess stomach acid. Simethicone is a mixture of silica gel and dimethicone. It is also known as activated dimethicone. Simethicone works by decreasing the surface tension of gas bubbles, thereby facilitating the expulsion of gas through flatus or belching (burping). It also prevents the accumulation and formation of gas in the digestive tract.

• Take the recommended dose of Encid Oral Suspension by mouth using the measuring cup, dosing syringe, or dropper provided in the pack.

• Avoid trigger foods and drinks like spicy, oily, fried foods, citrus juices, tomatoes, chocolate, coffee, alcohol, and carbonated beverages.
• Choose easy-to-digest, gut-friendly foods such as rice, steamed vegetables, khichdi, curd, buttermilk, and ripe fruits like banana and papaya.
• Chew thoroughly and eat slowly to reduce swallowed air and improve digestion.
• Stay well hydrated with 6–8 glasses of water daily, avoiding large amounts with meals; consider herbal teas like ginger or chamomile if tolerated.
• Finish meals at least 2–3 hours before bedtime to allow proper digestion and reduce nighttime acid reflux.
• Sit upright for at least 30 minutes after meals to aid digestion and prevent heartburn.
• Maintain a healthy weight and avoid tight clothing that increases abdominal pressure and worsens reflux or bloating.
• Include gentle activity and manage stress with light walks after meals, yoga, or breathing exercises to support digestion.
• Elevate the head while sleeping using extra pillows or a wedge to help reduce nighttime heartburn and reflux.

Inform your doctor if you are allergic to Encid Oral Suspension or any of its components before starting this medicine. Inform your doctor if you have a history of bowel blockage, appendicitis, kidney problems, or have recently undergone bowel surgery. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or on a low-magnesium diet, consult your doctor before taking Encid Oral Suspension. Let your doctor know if you have renal dysfunction and constipation, as these conditions may cause interactions.
