Soda Bicarb Glycerin Ear Drop

Soda Bicarb Glycerin Ear Drop is used to soften the hard, solidified, obstructive, external earwax (accumulated earwax) to facilitate easy removal and relieve ear discomforts such as pain and infection. Earwax, also called cerumen, helps protect the inside of the ear canal from microorganisms and foreign particles. When the ear glands produce more earwax than necessary, it becomes hard and blocks the ear. Unremoved earwax can lead to infections.

Soda Bicarb Glycerin Ear Drop contains sodium bicarbonate as the active ingredient. It softens the earwax by reducing its thickness. It also helps decrease the sensation of pain by blocking the pain signals.

Soda Bicarb Glycerin Ear Drop is for otic (ear) use only. You are advised to use Soda Bicarb Glycerin Ear Drop for as long as your doctor prescribes it, depending on your medical condition. Sometimes, you may experience specific common side effects, such as irritation and headache. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.

Inform your doctor about other prescription, non-prescription, and herbal medicines you are taking to prevent any side effects/interactions. Do not touch the tip of the dropper, as it may contaminate the contents. Do not put cotton into the ear after administering ear drops. Soda Bicarb Glycerin Ear Drop is an otic solution that is to be used only to treat infected ears; do not instil it in the eyes.

Use Soda Bicarb Glycerin Ear Drop as recommended by your physician. Lie down with the affected ear facing upwards. Hold the dropper over the ear and install the prescribed number of drops. Avoid touching the dropper's tip to prevent contamination. Replace the cap tightly after each use.

Soda Bicarb Glycerin Ear Drop is used to soften hard earwax. It reduces the wax's thickness and helps decrease the sensation of pain by blocking pain signals.

Do not use Soda Bicarb Glycerin Ear Drop if you are allergic to any of its contents, if you have an inflamed ear canal, perforated eardrum or eczema (skin inflammation) on the outer ear. Inform your doctor if you have any hearing problems, intestinal problems,  such as blockage, swelling or ulcers, kidney problems, Parkinson's disease or myasthenia gravis (muscle problems). Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
