About Sorvate Ointment

Sorvate Ointment is indicated for the topical treatment of mild to moderate plaque psoriasis in adults and children two years of age and older. Plaque psoriasis is the most common form of psoriasis. It causes dry, itchy, raised skin patches (plaques) covered with scales.

Sorvate Ointment contains calcitriol, which works by lowering the activity of immune cells in the skin and helps to inhibit the formation of excess skin cells that can stack up and create scales on the skin.

Sorvate Ointment is generally safe to use. Some may experience common side effects like itching, redness, stinging sensation, dryness and rash. These side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. If these side effects persist longer, please consult your doctor.

Avoid taking Sorvate Ointment if you are allergic to calcitriol or its components.
