About Tugain 5% Gel
Tugain 5% Gel is used to treat alopecia (hair loss). Tugain 5% Gel stimulates hair growth and slows down the process of balding. Alopecia is the thinning or loss of hair on the scalp or any part of the body.
Tugain 5% Gel contains Minoxidil, which widens the blood vessels and helps provide oxygen, blood, and nutrients to the hair follicles, thereby preventing hair cell death and promoting new hair growth.
Some common side effects of Tugain 5% Gel include changes in the color/texture of the hair, excessive hair growth, headache, itching, skin irritation, dryness, shortness of breath, scaling of the skin, and redness. These side effects usually do not require medical attention. If the side effects persist, consult a doctor.
Before using Tugain 5% Gel, let your doctor know if you are allergic to it, or have high blood pressure, sunburn, eczema, psoriasis, heart diseases like angina (chest pain), a recent heart attack, and circulation disorders. Tugain 5% Gel not recommended for pregnant and breastfeeding women.

Tugain 5% Gel is used for the treatment of Alopecia/hair loss.
Tugain 5% Gel is a vasodilator and widens the blood vessels promoting the blood flow. This process helps nourish the hair cells with the supply of oxygen and nutrients and thus stimulates hair growth.
You may notice hair shedding during the initial 2-6 weeks of treatment, which is normal. Hair loss gradually stops after two weeks of treatment. If it persists for over two weeks, stop using Tugain 5% Gel and consult your doctor.
Hair growth is a slow process, and it usually takes four months to see the best results of Tugain 5% Gel.
Tugain 5% Gel is for topical use only. Do not put a bandage or dressing on the affected area while treating with Tugain 5% Gel. If the medicine gets into your eyes, nose or mouth, rinse with cold water. Do not blow-dry your scalp after using Tugain 5% Gel. Do not apply Tugain 5% Gel on shaved, inflamed, infected, irritated or painful scalp skin.
Tugain 5% Gel is for scalp use; do not apply it on your face. If Tugain 5% Gel gets in contact with any other body areas, rinse with water thoroughly.
It is not required to wash your hair daily after applying Tugain 5% Gel. But, make sure your hair is dry before applying Tugain 5% Gel if you have washed your hair.
Do not use Tugain 5% Gel for beard growth. Tugain 5% Gel is recommended only for hair loss on the scalp.
Do not freeze Tugain 5% Gel. Please keep it away from direct sunlight. If you are using foam, keep the foam canister away from open flame or high heat since it may explode. Do not puncture or burn an empty canister.
You are advised to use Tugain 5% Gel for as long as your doctor has told you. Using more than advised or more often will not increase effectiveness. Please follow your doctor's instructions.
The side effects of Tugain 5% Gel include changes in colour/texture of the hair, skin irritation, dryness, redness, scaling of the skin and excessive hair growth. If these side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.
You must keep using Tugain 5% Gel to make sure that your hair grows longer. If you stop using Tugain 5% Gel, the regrown hair may disappear after 3 to 4 months and hair loss or balding may restart.
As hair growth is a slow process, it may take some time for you to notice new hair growth after starting the treatment with Tugain 5% Gel. Use it for as long as it is advised by your doctor to see best results.
