Ventisol Junior Syrup is used in the treatment of cough. The detailed uses of Ventisol Junior Syrup are as follows:

Ventisol Junior Syrup is a combination medicine containing Ambroxol (mucolytic agent), Guaiphenesin (expectorant) and Terbutaline (bronchodilators). Ambroxol works by thinning and loosening phlegm (mucus) in the lungs, windpipe, and nose and thus helps to cough out phlegm easily. Guaiphenesin increases the fluid volume in the airways and helps remove it from the airways. Terbutaline relaxes muscles and widens the airways. Thereby it makes breathing easier. 

• Ventisol Junior Syrup can be administered with or without food as directed by the doctor.
• Follow your doctor's instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication to ensure safety.
• Administer the prescribed dose to the child using the measuring cup/dosing syringe/dropper.
• Shake well before use.

• Try to give food containing green leafy vegetables.
• Make your child drink plenty of fluids to avoid a dry throat. It also helps loosen mucus.
• Avoid giving citrus fruits like oranges to your child as they may worsen the cough.
• Give your child fruits rich in water content, such as pears, watermelon, peaches and pineapples.

Avoid giving Ventisol Junior Syrup to your child if she/he is allergic to it.
