About Walk-In Tablet
Walk-In Tablet is primarily used to treat low blood calcium levels. It effectively treats various conditions, such as vitamin D deficiency, osteoporosis (characterised by weak bones), latent tetany (a muscle disease associated with low blood calcium levels). Walk-In Tablet can also be given to pregnant, nursing, and postmenopausal women to ensure that they are getting enough calcium.
Walk-In Tablet contains Calcitriol (Vitamin D3). Calcitriol is a synthetic version of Vitamin D3. It raises Vitamin D levels and thereby increases calcium levels in the blood. This helps in improving the absorption rate of calcium from the intestine.
In some cases, Walk-In Tablet can cause side effects like constipation, stomach upset, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, mood changes, weakness, tiredness, fast or pounding heartbeat, bone/muscle pain, and headache. Most of these side effects of Walk-In Tablet do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if these side effects persist longer, please consult your doctor.
Take Walk-In Tablet as prescribed by your doctor. Depending on your medical condition, you are advised to take Walk-In Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you. Walk-In Tablet can be taken with or without food. Shake the bottle well before use.
Inform your physician if you are allergic to Walk-In Tablet . Let your doctor know if you have any liver/kidney disease, heart disease, kidney stones and hypervitaminosis D (having too much vitamin D) hypercalcaemia (high calcium levels), hypervitaminosis D (high vitamin D levels), heart, kidney, liver, or blood vessel diseases, kidney stones, or malabsorption syndrome (difficulty absorbing nutrients from food) before starting Walk-In Tablet . Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before taking Walk-In Tablet .

Liver
Caution
Before taking Walk-In Tablet , let your doctor know if you have a pre-existing or a history of liver disease. Liver disease can alter the metabolic and therapeutic activity of certain forms of Vitamin D.
Kidney
Caution
It is advised to seek a doctor's advice before starting Walk-In Tablet if you have kidney diseases like kidney stones or are undergoing dialysis. Calcitriol in Walk-In Tablet increases inorganic phosphate levels in serum; hence, caution should be taken in patients undergoing dialysis to maintain adequate phosphorus levels and avoid ectopic calcification (calcium deposition).
Children
Caution
Walk-In Tablet should be used cautiously in children and only if prescribed by a doctor.
Heart
Walk-In Tablet can be used in patients with heart problems, but only under medical supervision due to its potential to raise calcium levels, which can affect heart rhythm. Your doctor should monitor your calcium levels closely to avoid complications like arrhythmias or vascular calcification.
Geriatrics
Caution
Walk-In Tablet can be used in geriatric patients, but with caution due to increased sensitivity to calcium levels and potential for hypercalcemia. Regular monitoring by your doctor is essential to avoid complications like kidney strain or heart rhythm issues.
Walk-In Tablet belongs to a group of medicines called vitamin D metabolites primarily used to treat low blood calcium levels. Walk-In Tablet effectively treats various conditions caused by low calcium levels in the body, such as osteoporosis (weak and brittle bones), osteomalacia/rickets (weak bones), hypoparathyroidism (low levels of parathyroid hormone), and latent tetany (a muscle disease with low blood calcium levels).
Walk-In Tablet contains calcitriol, which works by helping the body absorb more calcium from the diet. This helps to form healthy bones and reduce bone damage.
Walk-In Tablet can cause kidney stones due to excess calcium deposition when used for a prolonged period. Please consult your doctor before taking Walk-In Tablet as a daily supplement if you have any kidney problems or a history of kidney stones.
Walk-In Tablet is used to increase low calcium levels in the body. Hence, it is not advised to use Walk-In Tablet during hypercalcemia since it causes an overdose of calcium, leading to kidney stones and other effects.
Do not use Walk-In Tablet if you are allergic to any of the ingredients in Walk-In Tablet . It is not recommended in hypercalcemia (high calcium levels), metastatic calcification (extra deposits of calcium in the body), hypervitaminosis D (high vitamin D levels), and malabsorption syndrome (difficulty absorbing nutrition from food).
