ACECLOFENAC+TOLPERISONE+PARACETAMOL is a combination medicine that contains pain relievers and muscle relaxants, and is used to treat pain associated with muscle spasms. It improves the movement of muscles and provides relief from pain and discomfort caused by the muscle spasm. A muscle spasm occurs due to involuntary contractions of a muscle. A spasm may be a muscle cramp or feel tight or stiff, like a knot.
ACECLOFENAC+TOLPERISONE+PARACETAMOL contains Aceclofenac (NSAID), Tolperisone (muscle relaxant) and Paracetamol (pain killer). Tolperisone works on the spinal cord and brain centres to relieve muscle stiffness without decreasing strength. It increases the supply of blood to the muscles. This reduces pain and improves the movement of muscles. Aceclofenac and Paracetamol block prostaglandins' (PGs) that cause pain and swelling.
Take ACECLOFENAC+TOLPERISONE+PARACETAMOL as prescribed. You may experience common side effects, such as nausea (feeling sick), constipation, flatulence, diarrhoea, dizziness, sleepiness, sweating, abdominal pain, and weakness. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.
Before prescribing ACECLOFENAC+TOLPERISONE+PARACETAMOL, inform your doctor about all your allergic or hypersensitivity reactions to medicines or food. Also, tell your doctor about your medical history and other medications you are currently taking to rule out any potential adverse effects. Do not take ACECLOFENAC+TOLPERISONE+PARACETAMOL unless recommended by the doctor if you are pregnant or planning pregnancy or breastfeeding. ACECLOFENAC+TOLPERISONE+PARACETAMOL may cause dizziness, so drive only if you are alert and focused. ACECLOFENAC+TOLPERISONE+PARACETAMOL should not be given to children as safety has not been established. Avoid consuming alcohol and ACECLOFENAC+TOLPERISONE+PARACETAMOL as it could lead to liver damage.
Muscle spasms.
ACECLOFENAC+TOLPERISONE+PARACETAMOL treats muscle spasms. it consists of Aceclofenac (NSAID), Tolperisone (muscle relaxant) and Paracetamol (pain killer). Tolperisone is a centrally-acting muscle relaxant. It works on the spinal cord and brain to relieve contraction or muscle stiffness. It also increases the supply of blood to the muscles. On the other hand, both Aceclofenac and Paracetamol inhibit cyclo-oxygenase (COX) enzymes that further prevent the formation of chemical messengers called 'prostaglandins' (PGs). These prostaglandins are produced at injury sites and cause pain and swelling. By blocking the COX enzyme's effect, fewer PGs are produced, which reduces mild to moderate pain and inflammation at the injured or damaged site.

Before taking ACECLOFENAC+TOLPERISONE+PARACETAMOL, inform your doctor about all your allergic or hypersensitivity reactions to medicines or food. Also, tell your doctor if you have any liver, heart or kidney diseases, myasthenia gravis (fatigue of muscles), phenylketonuria (a genetic disorder that causes a build-up of an amino acid, phenylalanine), and alcohol dependency before starting ACECLOFENAC+TOLPERISONE+PARACETAMOL. Do not take ACECLOFENAC+TOLPERISONE+PARACETAMOL unless instructed by the doctor if you are pregnant, planning for pregnancy or breastfeeding. ACECLOFENAC+TOLPERISONE+PARACETAMOL may cause dizziness, so drive only if you are alert and focused. Avoid consuming alcohol along with ACECLOFENAC+TOLPERISONE+PARACETAMOL as it could lead to increased dizziness and risk of liver damage. ACECLOFENAC+TOLPERISONE+PARACETAMOL is not recommended in children as safety and efficacy are not established.
Drug-Drug Interactions: ACECLOFENAC+TOLPERISONE+PARACETAMOL may interact with anticoagulants (e.g. warfarin), cholesterol-lowering medications (e.g. cholestyramine), anti-cancer medications (e.g. imatinib), and drugs treating vomiting (e.g. metoclopramide, domperidone).
Drug-Food Interactions: Consumption of alcohol should be avoided.
Drug-Disease Interactions: Before using ACECLOFENAC+TOLPERISONE+PARACETAMOL, let your doctor know if you have any liver, heart or kidney diseases, bleeding disorder, myasthenia gravis (fatigue of muscles), phenylketonuria (a genetic disorder that causes a build-up of an amino acid, phenylalanine), and alcohol dependency.
Avoid alcohol consumption while taking ACECLOFENAC+TOLPERISONE+PARACETAMOL. Alcohol intake, along with ACECLOFENAC+TOLPERISONE+PARACETAMOL, may cause increased dizziness and risk of liver damage.
Please consult the doctor. There are no adequate and well-controlled studies on pregnant women. Your doctor will prescribe only if the benefits outweigh the risks.
There is no substantial research yet on the use of ACECLOFENAC+TOLPERISONE+PARACETAMOL in breastfeeding/nursing mothers. Let your doctor know if you are a nursing mother before taking ACECLOFENAC+TOLPERISONE+PARACETAMOL; your doctor will decide whether breastfeeding mothers can take ACECLOFENAC+TOLPERISONE+PARACETAMOL or not.

ACECLOFENAC+TOLPERISONE+PARACETAMOL is not recommended in children as safety and efficacy are not established.
Exercising regularly helps in muscle stretching that is less likely to spasm, tear and sprain. Mild exercises such as jogging and walking are helpful for muscle stretching.
Massages can also be helpful.
Avoid freezing and hot temperatures.
Avoid wearing tight-fitting clothes; instead, wear loose garments.
Rest well and get plenty of sleep.
Change your position at least every two hours to avoid developing pressure sores.
Hot or cold therapy can help treat muscle spasms. Apply an ice pack or hot pack on the muscle for 15-20minutes.
Stay hydrated, drink plenty of water.
Pain is a symptom triggered by the nervous system, causing uncomfortable sensations in the body.
Muscle spasm is the sudden involuntary contractions of the muscle, which can be painful and uncomfortable. When the nerve impulses that control the muscle movements are damaged or interrupted, it could lead to muscle spasms. A spasm may be a twitch in the muscle or may feel tight or hard, like a knot.
