About AMBROXOL+TERBUTALINE

AMBROXOL+TERBUTALINE is a cough syrup. It helps relieve cough associated with mucus and chest congestion caused by the common cold and flu in children. Coughing can be defined as the body's way of clearing irritants like allergens, mucus or smoke from the airways.

AMBROXOL+TERBUTALINE is a combination medicine of Ambroxol and Terbutaline. Ambroxol works by thinning and loosening phlegm (mucus) in the lungs, windpipe, and nose, whereas terbutaline relaxes muscles and widens the airways.

AMBROXOL+TERBUTALINE may cause certain side effects such as nausea, vomiting, headache, diarrhoea, tremors, and stomach upset. If these side effects worsen, please consult your child's doctor. AMBROXOL+TERBUTALINE should be given as advised by the doctor.

AMBROXOL+TERBUTALINE is intended for paediatric use only. Avoid giving AMBROXOL+TERBUTALINE to your child if he/she is allergic to any of the components present in the formulation. Keep the doctor informed about your child’s condition, including the medications and medical history, to rule out any side effects/interactions. Before administration, inform the doctor if your child has any liver or kidney disease.

Patients Concern

Disease/Condition Glossary

Cough: Coughing can be defined as the body's way of clearing irritants like allergens or smoke from the airways. Cough can be described as two types, namely, dry cough and wet cough. A dry cough is a non-productive cough that is tickly and doesn't produce any mucus. A wet cough (chesty cough) is a productive cough that produces mucous or sputum. Cough is commonly caused as a response to allergy or viral infection, but coughing up mucus is possibly an indication of infection in the respiratory tract.
