About AVANAFIL
AVANAFIL belongs to the group of medicines called phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE 5) inhibitors used to treat erectile dysfunction (impotence) in adult men. However, AVANAFIL works only if he is sexually stimulated. Erectile dysfunction is the inability to keep an erection firm enough suitable for sexual activity.
AVANAFIL contains Avanafil which relaxes the blood vessels in the penis and increases the blood flow into the penis. This helps it stay hard and erect when the person is sexually excited.
Take AVANAFIL as prescribed. You are advised to take AVANAFIL for as long as your doctor has advised it for you, depending on your medical condition. AVANAFIL may cause certain common side effects such as headache, stuffy or runny nose, flushing (sudden reddening of the skin), back pain, or sore throat. Most of these side effects will resolve gradually over time and do not require medical attention. However, if these side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.
If you are allergic to Avanafil, tell your doctor before taking AVANAFIL. If you feel dizzy or have changes in vision, avoid driving or operating heavy machines after taking AVANAFIL. If you notice a sudden decrease or loss of hearing (sometimes dizziness or ringing in your ears), stop taking AVANAFIL and contact your doctor immediately. Avoid the consumption of alcohol, as it may impair your ability to get an erection or increase your heart rate and lower your blood pressure. AVANAFIL does not cure erectile dysfunction in males but treats erectile dysfunction.

Drug Warnings
If you are allergic to Avanafil, tell your doctor before taking AVANAFIL. Do not take AVANAFIL if you have had a heart attack or stroke in the past 6 months, have certain eye diseases, and loss of vision due to loss of blood flow to the optic (eye) nerve. If you feel dizzy or have changes in vision, avoid driving or operating heavy machines after taking AVANAFIL. Consult your doctor before taking AVANAFIL if you have Peyronie’s disease (a deformed penis), or ever had an erection that lasted more than 4 hours or if you have multiple myeloma (cancer of bone marrow), sickle cell anaemia (an abnormality of red blood cells), or leukaemia (cancer of blood cells). If you notice a sudden decrease or loss of hearing (sometimes dizziness or ringing in the ears), stop taking AVANAFIL and contact your doctor immediately. Do not take AVANAFIL more than once in a day.
Drug Interactions
Drug-Drug interactions: If you are taking medicines used to treat HIV/AIDS (indinavir, saquinavir, ritonavir, atazanavir, nelfinavir, amprenavir, fosamprenavir), antifungals (itraconazole, ketoconazole, voriconazole, fluconazole), antibiotics (telithromycin, clarithromycin, erythromycin), antiarrhythmics (procainamide, sotalol, quinidine, amiodarone), anticonvulsant (phenobarbital, primidone, carbamazepine), antiemetics (aprepitant), calcium-channel blockers (diltiazem, verapamil), other medicines to treat erectile dysfunction (tadalafil, vardenafil, sildenafil), or drugs used to treat high blood pressure in the lungs (riociguat), inform your doctor before taking AVANAFIL.
Drug-Food interactions: AVANAFIL may interact with grapefruit juice. Therefore, avoid consumption of grapefruit juice within 24 hours before taking AVANAFIL.
Drug-Disease interactions: Avoid taking AVANAFIL if you have a serious heart problem, low blood pressure or high blood pressure not controlled by medicines, a serious kidney or liver problem, loss of vision in one eye due to insufficient supply of blood to your eye, have chest pain (angina) or you get chest pain during sexual intercourse, if you had a stroke or heart attack in the last six months or if certain serious eye problems run in your family such as retinitis pigmentosa (the back wall of the eye known as retina is damaged). Inform your doctor if you have priapism (prolonged erection of the penis lasting 4 hours or more), any bleeding disorder or active peptic ulceration, heart problem, or have a physical condition that affects the penis shape (such as angulation, Peyronie’s disease or cavernosal fibrosis).
