Benzalkonium+fluorometholone+tobramycin belongs to ophthalmic eye medications primarily used to treat bacterial eye infections and reduce swelling, itching, and redness. Conjunctivitis (pink eye) is a common bacterial eye infection associated with the inflammation or infection of the conjunctiva (white part of the eye) and the inner eyelid.
Benzalkonium+fluorometholone+tobramycin is a combination of three drugs, namely: Fluorometholone (corticosteroid), Tobramycin (antibiotic), and Benzalkonium (preservative). Fluorometholone belongs to steroids that work by inhibiting the release of certain chemical messengers in the body that cause redness, itching, and swelling. Thereby, reduces the redness and swelling caused due to bacterial infections. Tobramycin belongs to the class of antibiotics that works by inhibiting the production of essential proteins necessary for bacteria to grow, multiply and increase in numbers. Thereby, it destroys bacteria. Benzalkonium acts as a preservative.
Use Benzalkonium+fluorometholone+tobramycin as prescribed by your doctor. Benzalkonium+fluorometholone+tobramycin is only for use in eyes. You are advised to use Benzalkonium+fluorometholone+tobramycin for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you based on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience eye irritation, eye redness, itchy or swollen eyelids, mild burning or stinging sensation in the eye, or eye discomfort. Most of these side effects of Benzalkonium+fluorometholone+tobramycin do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. Directions for Use

- Tilt your head back and gently pull your lower eyelid downward and outward. Gently squeeze the dropper to instil Benzalkonium+fluorometholone+tobramycin into your eyes. Blink your eyes a few times to help spread the medication.
- Do not touch the tip of the dropper to prevent contamination.
- Gently wipe away any excess liquid around the eyes with a clean tissue.
