About CAFFEINE+ASPIRIN

CAFFEINE+ASPIRIN belongs to a group of medicines known as 'analgesics' mainly prescribed for the treatment of pain, headaches, muscle pain, minor arthritis pain, and fever or body pain caused by the common cold. Pain is a general term that describes the uncomfortable sensations in the body. The intensity of pain can range from annoying to debilitating, or a sharp stabbing or a dull ache. The possible causes of pain include headache, cramps, toothache, muscle strain or overuse, arthritis, stomach ache.

CAFFEINE+ASPIRIN contains two medicines, namely: Aspirin and Caffeine. Aspirin belongs to the category of salicylate that works by inhibiting the activity of the enzyme cyclooxygenase (COX) which forms prostaglandins (PGs) that cause swelling, inflammation, pain and fever. On the other hand, Caffeine is a stimulant that works by work by blocking the neurotransmitter known as adenosine, increasing excitability in the brain, thereby relieving headache and enhances the effect of aspirin.

Take CAFFEINE+ASPIRIN with or without food with one glass of water. However, if stomach upset occurs, then take it with milk or food. Swallow the tablets as a whole without crushing or chewing the tablets as it can increase stomach upset. The doctor should suggest the dosage and length of treatment after checking your medical condition and response to treatment. Some persons may experience undesirable effects of CAFFEINE+ASPIRIN that includes getting nervous and excitable, trouble sleeping, stomach pain, or heartburn, upset stomach or throwing up. However, not every person experiences these side effects or has minor side effects but if the unpleasant effects persist or worsen, then seek medical attention immediately.

If a person is allergic to CAFFEINE+ASPIRIN or notices any allergic reaction like itching, peeling red skin, trouble breathing, then they need to talk to the doctor.  A person should limit the consumption of alcohol while taking CAFFEINE+ASPIRIN as it may increase the risk of stomach/ gastric bleeding. This medicine is not advisable for children with flu, fever, or chickenpox unless the doctor has especially to them. This medicine is not allowed to use in late in pregnancy or last trimester in pregnancy as it may cause possible harm to the unborn baby and delay labour and childbirth. CAFFEINE+ASPIRIN can cause Reye's syndrome (a rare but serious medical condition that causes swelling in the brain and liver, especially in children and teenagers). This medicine is not allowed to use in breastfeeding woman as it may harm the nursing infant and high doses of maternal aspirin after passing in breast milk could impair platelet function in the baby.

Headache, Pain relief, Common cold

Medicinal Benefits

CAFFEINE+ASPIRIN is analgesic that is used to treat pain associated due to various conditions like menstrual cramps, headache, toothache, or muscle aches, fever, minor arthritis pain, and fever or body aches caused by the common cold and inflammation. In some cases, CAFFEINE+ASPIRIN is also suggested to treat or prevent heart attacks, strokes, and chest pain (angina). If this medicine is using for cardiovascular conditions, then it should be used under the supervision of a doctor. When a body is hurt or infected, the body starts making hormones called prostaglandins. The release of prostaglandins is responsible for swelling, sometimes fever, and sending pain signals to the brain. CAFFEINE+ASPIRIN works by blocking the activity of the cyclooxygenase (COX) and prostaglandins (PGs) that in turn lowers the pain and reduces swelling, inflammation, and fever.
