CLONAZEPAM+PARACETAMOL is a combination of two drugs: clonazepam and Paracetamol. Clonazepam is a Benzodiazepines (BZD) that are primarily used to treat anxiety disorders, restless leg syndrome, and prevention of seizures (fits) due to epilepsy. An anxiety disorder is a mental health disorder characterized by feelings of excessive fear or worry that affects an individual's daily activities. On the other hand, Epilepsy is a chronic disorder characterized by episodes of seizures (fits). Restless leg syndrome is a disorder that causes an uncontrollable need to move your legs, generally because of an unpleasant sensation. It usually happens in the evening or night-time when you are sitting or lying down. Whereas paracetamol is a common pain killer. It also has an antipyretic effect (reduces fever).
CLONAZEPAM+PARACETAMOL is composed of two medicines: clonazepam (reduce anxiety) and Paracetamol (reduce pain, inflammation, and fever). Clonazepam works by increasing levels of brain cell (neuron) calming chemical, known as gamma-amino-butyric-acid (GABA) in your brain that helps to relieve anxiety, stop seizures attacks (fits), and cause relaxation of the tense muscles. Besides this, CLONAZEPAM+PARACETAMOL also relieves temporary insomnia (sleeplessness) due to anxiety disorders. You may experience altered walking, dizziness, depression, drowsiness, lack of coordination, fatigue, memory loss. Do not take this medicine if you have any lung disease, muscle weakness (myasthenia gravis), sleeping disorders or difficulty sleeping (sleep apnoea), severe liver disease, or a problem with alcohol or other prescription drugs. CLONAZEPAM+PARACETAMOL is a habit-forming drug and, hence there is a risk of forming a dependence on this medicine. Therefore, before stopping this medicine, consult your doctor to cause withdrawal symptoms like anxiety, increased heart rate, tremor, or general unwell feeling.

Do not take CLONAZEPAM+PARACETAMOL if you are allergic to paracetamol and, any benzodiazepine class of drugs (diazepam, chlordiazepoxide, bromazepam, or flurazepam), suffer from lung disease, liver disease, kidney disease, glaucoma, muscle weakness (myasthenia gravis), or have difficulty in sleeping (sleep apnoea). Pregnant or lactating women should consult a doctor before taking it as CLONAZEPAM+PARACETAMOL contains clonazepam, a Category D pregnancy medication.
Drug-Drug Interactions: CLONAZEPAM+PARACETAMOL may have interaction with antianxiety or antiepileptic medicines (like carbamazepine, fluvoxamine, phenobarbital, phenytoin, primidone), blood thinner (warfarin), anti-HIV drugs (like amprenavir, ritonavir), acidity medicine (like cimetidine), (metoclopramide or domperidone), disulfiram (to treat chronic alcoholism), anti TB drug (like rifampicin), anti-Parkinson’s drug (like levodopa), and asthma drugs (like theophylline). Besides this, central nervous system depressant drugs should be avoided with CLONAZEPAM+PARACETAMOL as may cause serious side effects.
Drug-Food Interactions: Avoid alcohol as it may increase the risk of side-effects when taken along with CLONAZEPAM+PARACETAMOL.
Drug-Disease Interactions: Obese people (with a BMI greater than 25), respiratory depression, drug dependence, seizures, depression, suicidal tendency, closed-angle glaucoma and renal/liver disease patients should consult a doctor before taking CLONAZEPAM+PARACETAMOL.
You are recommended not to consume alcohol along with CLONAZEPAM+PARACETAMOL to avoid unpleasant side-effects like drowsiness, dizziness, or sleepiness. It may also lead to a life-threatening condition like coma if taken with excessive alcohol.
CLONAZEPAM+PARACETAMOL contains clonazepam which is a Category D risk pregnancy drug that is considered unsafe for pregnant women. CLONAZEPAM+PARACETAMOL can have some harmful effects on the baby (fetus), so your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you.
CLONAZEPAM+PARACETAMOL passes into the breast milk and may cause some degree of sedation in the baby. So, keep your doctor informed if you're planning to breastfeed while on CLONAZEPAM+PARACETAMOL.
CLONAZEPAM+PARACETAMOL usually causes dizziness, drowsiness and visual disturbances which may affect their ability to drive or operate machinery. So, do not drive or operate heavy machinery if you feel sleepy or dizzy after taking CLONAZEPAM+PARACETAMOL. Tell your doctor if you get these types of side effects.
CLONAZEPAM+PARACETAMOL to be taken with caution, especially if you have a history of Liver diseases/conditions. The dose may have to be adjusted by your doctor.

It is not known whether if CLONAZEPAM+PARACETAMOL is safe or effective in treating conditions like panic disorder in children younger than 18 years old. So, your doctor will decide whether CLONAZEPAM+PARACETAMOL can be given to children less than 18 years of age or not.
