Clomiphene Citrate+n Acetylcysteine

Clomiphene Citrate+n Acetylcysteine should not be used in case of any known allergy to either of the components. Clomiphene Citrate+n Acetylcysteine should be used with caution in case of high risk or previous history of any cardiovascular health disorders or endocrinological issues such as diabetes, hypothyroidism, or any hormonal disturbances. Clomiphene Citrate+n Acetylcysteine is not recommended for use in children, men, adolescents or post-menopausal women. Clomiphene Citrate+n Acetylcysteine may increase the risk of breast or any hormone-dependent cancer. Clomiphene Citrate+n Acetylcysteine should be used with caution in those with heart problems, established infertility, peptic ulcer disease, liver diseases, blood clotting problems, kidney disease, and/or polycystic ovarian syndrome. Keep your doctor informed of your entire medical history, including any history of hormone-dependent cancers, asthma, high blood cholesterol, lactose intolerance, anorexia, or fits/epilepsy. Inform your doctor before using Clomiphene Citrate+n Acetylcysteine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Let your doctor know if you are already on any hormonal therapy or on treatment with antitussives (cough medicines), antibiotics, activated charcoal, and heart medicines for angina.

Drug-Drug Interactions: Clomiphene Citrate+n Acetylcysteine may interact with Janus Kinase (JAK) Inhibitors (abrocitinib, baricitinib), retinoids (bexarotene), and chemotherapy drugs (ifosfamide).

Drug-Food Interactions: No interactions found/established.

Drug-Disease Interactions: Clomiphene Citrate+n Acetylcysteine should be used with caution in patients with a known hypersensitivity disorder, abnormal uterine bleeding, breast, asthma, Addison’s disease, hepatic dysfunction, hepatic encephalopathy, pituitary inactivity, and high blood cholesterol.

• Reducing weight and having a healthy BMI is very important to improve fertility.
• Avoid smoking to improve fertility.
• Avoid caffeine and caffeinated drinks. Eat foods rich in antioxidants like zinc and folate and cut down on carbs. Increase your fibre intake.
• Incorporate foods rich in omega 3 fatty acids in your diet such as flax seeds, chia seeds and walnuts which help regulate hormones and improve infertility.
• Manage stress by practicing stress relaxation techniques like yoga, meditation or deep breathing exercises.
• Your doctor may ask you to record your daily temperature every morning and make a chart of your body temperature to help determine when ovulation will occur (as body temperature tends to be slightly higher around then). The timing of sex and ovulation is important for Clomiphene Citrate+n Acetylcysteine to show its benefits. Your doctor will advise you on the same.

• Do not discontinue taking Clomiphene Citrate+n Acetylcysteine abruptly or without the advice of the physician.
• Please know that your doctor may order blood tests to check your hormone levels while you are on Clomiphene Citrate+n Acetylcysteine.
• Your doctor will also recommend frequent pelvic examinations while you are on treatment with Clomiphene Citrate+n Acetylcysteine.
• Clomiphene Citrate+n Acetylcysteine is not usually given for more than 5 days in one course.
• Bring any mood swings or mood changes to your doctor’s attention. Please see a mental health care professional if needed.
• Before starting Clomiphene Citrate+n Acetylcysteine, speak to your doctor about the risk of multiple pregnancies (twins or triplets) and ectopic pregnancy (where the baby grows outside the uterus).
