About Elagolix

Elagolix is used in the treatment of moderate to severe pain associated with endometriosis in women. Endometriosis is a disorder in which tissue lining the uterus grows outside the uterine cavity. It also helps reduce pain during the menstrual period, during or after intercourse or heavy bleeding.

Elagolix contains elagolix, which reduces estrogen levels and helps decrease the growth and activity of endometrial tissue outside the uterus.

The common side effects of Elagolix include hot flashes, decreased sexual interest, dizziness, headache, nausea, diarrhoea, mood changes, and upset stomach. These side effects may vary from person to person. If you notice any side effects that are not manageable, please consult your doctor.

Inform your doctor if you are allergic to Elagolix or any other components of it. Avoid taking Elagolix if you are pregnant or breastfeeding because this Elagolix can cause harmful effects on the unborn baby. Elagolix is not recommended for children below 12 years of age.
