About FELBINAC

FELBINAC belongs to the class of 'non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs' primarily used to relieve pain and inflammation in the joints (arthralgia) and muscles. FELBINAC is also used to relieve pain in ankylosing spondylitis, soft tissue injuries, and other musculoskeletal conditions. Pain is a symptom triggered by the nervous system, causing uncomfortable sensations in the body. Ankylosing spondylitis is a type of arthritis that affects the spine and large joints.

FELBINAC consists of Felbinac, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (pain killer/NSAID) that relieves pain. It inhibits cyclo-oxygenase (COX) enzymes and further prevents the formation of chemical messengers, 'prostaglandins' (PGs), that cause pain and swelling at the injured or damaged site.

Your doctor will decide the dose and duration based on the severity of your pain. Common side effects of FELBINAC include burning sensation at the site, redness, itching, numbness, irritation, tingling, prickling, and skin rash. These side effects are not familiar to everyone and vary individually. However, if the side effects are persistent, please reach out to your doctor.

FELBINAC is for external use only. Avoid contact with eyes, lips and mouth, nose, and any damaged skin. Before starting FELBINAC, inform your doctor if you have any liver, heart, or kidney diseases, eczema, asthma, and allergic reactions to medicines. If you are using other NSAIDs, please inform your doctor in advance. FELBINAC should be used with caution and only if necessary in pregnant and breastfeeding women. FELBINAC is not recommended for children. It is better to avoid consuming alcohol while using FELBINAC.

Uses of FELBINAC

Pain and inflammation in the joints (arthralgia) and muscles, ankylosing spondylitis, and soft tissue injuries.

Medicinal Benefits

FELBINAC is used to relieve pain in the joints and muscles caused by injury or inflammation. It contains Felbinac that is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAIDs) and relieves pain. It inhibits cyclo-oxygenase (COX) enzymes that further prevent the formation of chemical messengers called 'prostaglandins' (PGs). These prostaglandins are produced at injury sites and cause pain and swelling. By blocking the COX enzyme's effect, lesser PGs are produced, which reduces mild to moderate pain and inflammation at the injured or damaged site. FELBINAC is also used as a coupling agent (a medium that acts as a bond between the skin and the ultrasound transducer) in ultrasound therapy.

Directions for Use

Apply a thin layer with clean and dry hands on the skin's affected areas. You can also apply it with a piece of clean cotton wool or gauze swab. Gently rub the medicine into the skin. Wash your hands before and after applying FELBINAC on the affected areas unless the treatment is for hands.
