About FLUMAZENIL

FLUMAZENIL belongs to the benzodiazepine antagonist class of drugs. It is used to treat benzodiazepine overdose (sedative poisoning) in adults. Besides this, it is used to help you wake up after a surgery or medical procedure, acting as a reversal of conscious sedation and general anesthesia.

FLUMAZENIL contains Flumazenil, a benzodiazepine antagonist. It inhibits the activity of benzodiazepine and non-benzodiazepine compounds that bind with benzodiazepine receptors on the GABA/benzodiazepine receptor complex.

A qualified healthcare professional will administer FLUMAZENIL. You may experience mild to moderate pain at the injection site, nausea, vomiting, headache, dizziness, increased sweating, flushing (sudden warmth, redness, or tingly feeling), and vision problems. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist, contact your doctor.

Before taking FLUMAZENIL, let your doctor know about all your medical conditions (especially if you are suffering from seizures, drug abuse/dependence, psychosis, hepatic dysfunction), sensitivities (allergic to foods or medicines), and all medications you are using. Also, inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding. FLUMAZENIL may cause vision problems. It impacts your ability to drive or operate machinery.
