Destal M 5mg/10mg Tablet is used in the treatment of allergic rhinitis. It contains Desloratadine and Montelukast, which blocks the action of histamine (chemical causing allergic symptoms) and reduces the allergic reaction. It provides quick relief from allergic symptoms and reduces inflammation and swelling in the nose. It may cause common side effects such as abdominal pain, headache, fatigue, and dry mouth. Drug-Drug Interactions: Destal M 5mg/10mg Tablet may interact with medications used to treat fits (phenobarbital and phenytoin), an antidepressant (fluoxetine), antacid (cimetidine), pain killer (aspirin), nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), antifungal medication (ketoconazole), antibiotics (azithromycin and erythromycin), a medicine used to treat tuberculosis (rifampicin), and medicine used to high cholesterol (gemfibrozil).

Drug-Food Interactions: Avoid grapefruit or grapefruit juice while taking Destal M 5mg/10mg Tablet.

Drug-Disease Interactions: Destal M 5mg/10mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with seizures, kidney diseases, and phenylketonuria (an inherited disease that causes a build-up of amino acid phenylalanine in the body).
