Asthmawin-2 Tablet 10's is used to treat asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It helps to relieve symptoms like coughing, wheezing and shortness of breath. It contains Salbutamol, which relaxes the muscles in the airways and increases airflow to the lungs. It makes breathing easier by widening the airways. It may cause common side effects such as nausea, vomiting, restlessness, tremor (shakiness), headache, muscle tightness, dryness or soreness of the throat, dizziness, sleepiness, palpitations (irregular heartbeat), nasal congestion (stuffy nose), cough, and increased heart rate. Before taking this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you are allergic to any of its components or if you are pregnant/breastfeeding, and about all the medications you are taking and pre-existing medical conditions.

Here are the steps to manage the medication-triggered Tachycardia (Fast Heart Rate):
  • Contact your doctor immediately if you're experiencing a fast heart rate, palpitations, or other heart-related symptoms. This is crucial to determine whether the symptoms are related to your medication.
  • Your doctor may need to adjust your medication regimen to alleviate the fast heart rate symptoms. This could involve changing the medication, reducing the dosage, or adding new medications to counteract the side effects.
  • Follow your doctor's advice on monitoring your heart rate and blood pressure. This will help track any changes and ensure your heart rate returns normal.
  • If you experience severe symptoms such as chest pain, dizziness, or shortness of breath, seek immediate medical attention. These symptoms can indicate a more serious condition that requires prompt treatment.
  • Avoid triggers like alcohol, caffeine, and energy drinks.
  • Try relaxation techniques such as yoga, meditation, or deep breathing.
  • Exercise regularly as it helps maintain heart health.
  • Follow a nutritious and balanced diet.
Overcome Medication-Induced Nausea: A 9-Step Plan
  • Inform your doctor about the nausea and discuss possible alternatives to the medication or adjustments to the dosage.
  • Divide your daily food intake into smaller, more frequent meals to reduce nausea.
  • Opt for bland, easily digestible foods like crackers, toast, plain rice, bananas, and applesauce.
  • Avoid certain foods that can trigger nausea, such as fatty, greasy, spicy, and smelly foods.
  • Drink plenty of fluids, such as water, clear broth, or electrolyte-rich beverages like coconut water or sports drinks.
  • Use ginger (tea, ale, or candies) to help relieve nausea.
  • Get adequate rest and also avoid strenuous activities that can worsen nausea.
  • Talk to your doctor about taking anti-nausea medication if your nausea is severe.
  • Record when your nausea occurs, what triggers it, and what provides relief to help you identify patterns and manage your symptoms more effectively.
