Petril Plus LS Tablet belongs to the class of benzodiazepines. It is used in the treatment of anxiety disorder. This medication contains clonazepam and escitalopram which relieves anxiety by raising the gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), a calming chemical mediator. It also helps relax the tense muscles. Common side effects include nausea, headache, dizziness, confusion, drowsiness, fatigue, sleeping problems, breathlessness, poor coordination of movements, stomach upset, etc

Drug-Drug Interactions: Petril Plus LS Tablet may interact with other antianxiety drugs, monoamine oxidase inhibitors (selegiline and moclobemide), opioids or strong pain killers, sedatives, anti-arrhythmic drugs, a medication used to treat heartburn (cimetidine) and antibiotics (rifampicin and linezolid).

Drug-Food Interactions: Avoid alcohol as it may increase the risk of side effects when taken along with Petril Plus LS Tablet .

Drug-Disease Interactions: Petril Plus LS Tablet should be used with caution in patients with seizures, schizophrenia, liver diseases, diabetes, heart diseases, sleep disorders and bleeding disorders.
