Betadine Vaginal Pessaries is used in the treatment of vaginal infections caused by bacteria and fungi. It contains povidone iodine, which prevents the growth of infection-causing micro-organisms and thus helps treat vaginal candidiasis (vaginal yeast infection), bacterial vaginosis (bacterial overgrowth in the vagina), vaginal inflammation (vaginitis), sexually transmitted infections like trichomoniasis, infections caused by herpes viruses and Neisseria gonorrhoeae.
