The standard treatment for paediatric tuberculosis involves a combination of daily antibiotics, typically including Isoniazid, Rifampicin, Pyrazinamide, and sometimes Ethambutol. This regimen is divided into two phases: an intensive phase (usually 2 months) followed by a continuation phase (usually 4 months), totalling 6 months of treatment. It is absolutely crucial that your child completes the entire course, even if they feel better. The exact dosages depend strictly on your child?s weight. Drug-Drug Interactions: AKURIT Z KID TABLET may interact with an antibiotic (erythromycin), painkiller (acetaminophen), anti-diabetic (insulin isophane), anti-HIV (saquinavir, ritonavir), or supplement (ergocalciferol).

Drug-Food Interactions: Avoid foods and drinks containing histamine or tyramine, such as cured meat, matured cheese, soya, tuna, salmon, mackerel, wine, and beer, while taking AKURIT Z KID TABLET as they might cause interaction.

Drug-Disease Interactions: Inform your doctor if you have colitis (inflammation in the lining of the colon), peripheral neuropathy (numbness and pain in hands and feet), porphyria, haemodialysis, diabetes, gout (high uric acid), liver toxicity, dialysis, optic neuritis (vision problems), kidney or liver dysfunction.
