It helps in the free flow of blood, thereby preventing a heart attack, stroke, deep vein thrombosis (blood clot in the vein), and pulmonary embolism (blood clots in the arteries of the lungs). It may cause common side effects such as abdominal pain, indigestion, diarrhoea, easy bruising, and nosebleeds.
