Dibizide-M Tablet is used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus. It contains Glipizide and Metformin, which promotes insulin secretion from the beta cells of the pancreas and reduces the glucose output from the liver. Also, it reduces serum glucose levels without increasing insulin secretion. It may cause common side effects such as hypoglycemia (low blood sugar levels), nausea, diarrhoea, indigestion, headache, dizziness, blurred vision, weakness, cold sweats, stomach pain, weight gain, and oedema (swelling). Before taking this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you are allergic to any of its components or if you are pregnant/breastfeeding, and about all the medications you are taking and pre-existing medical conditions.
