Doxific Injection is an antibiotic medicine used to treat bacterial infections such as urinary tract infections, intestinal infections, respiratory infections, eye infections, skin infections, sexually transmitted infections, and periodontitis. This medicine contains doxycycline which works by inhibiting the protein synthesis of the bacterial cell and thereby helps fight infection-causing bacteria. This medicine is not effective for treating viral infections. Common side effects include pain, itching, swelling or redness at the site of injection, nausea, vomiting, or diarrhoea.

Drug-Drug Interactions: Doxific Injection may interact with retinoid medications taken by mouth (acitretin, isotretinoin), blood thinners (warfarin), heart disease medicine (digoxin), anti-seizure medications (phenytoin, carbamazepine), antacids containing aluminium, calcium, or magnesium, bismuth subsalicylate, iron supplements, and oral birth control pills. 

Drug-Food Interactions: Food containing calcium and iron should be avoided within 2 hours of Doxific Injection as it may affect Doxific Injection effectiveness.

Drug-Disease Interactions: Inform your doctor if you have kidney problems, liver problems, swollen food pipe (esophagitis), lupus disease (an autoimmune disease), or muscle disease (myasthenia gravis).

Taking isotretinoin with Doxific Injection may increase the risk of a rare condition called pseudotumor cerebri (increased pressure in the brain).
