Encorate Chrono 300 Tablet is used to treat epilepsy/seizures/fits. Additionally, it is also used to treat mood disorders and migraine. It contains Sodium valproate and Valproic acid, which works by decreasing the excessive and abnormal nerve activity in the brain. Thereby, it helps in controlling seizures. It blocks the nerve transmission across the brain and provides a calming effect. In some cases, it may cause common side effects such as headache, sleepiness, drowsiness, impaired coordination, apathy (lack of interest), irregular periods and weight gain. Before taking this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you are allergic to any of its components or if you are pregnant/breastfeeding, and about all the medications you are taking and pre-existing medical conditions.
