Escutor-0.5 mg Tablet 10's is used to treat schizophrenia and other mental disorder that affects the way you feel, think or behave. It contains Flupentixol, which works by blocking the effects of chemical messengers in the brain (i.e., dopamine), thereby helps in improving mood, behavior, and thoughts. It reduces the symptoms of the disease and prevents them from coming back. It may cause sleepiness, dryness in the mouth, orthostatic hypotension (sudden lowering of blood pressure on standing), weight gain, abnormality of voluntary movements (expression of thought through action), urinary retention (completely emptying the bladder), increased prolactin level in the blood, muscle stiffness, constipation, and tremor. Before taking this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you are allergic to any of its components or if you are pregnant/breastfeeding, and about all the medications you are taking and pre-existing medical conditions.
