  • Oral contraceptives: Current evidence does not show that cefpodoxime or other cephalosporin antibiotics significantly reduce the effectiveness of birth control pills. However, inform your doctor about all medicines you are taking, especially if you experience vomiting or severe diarrhoea, as these may affect the absorption of oral contraceptives.
  • Probenecid: This medicine can increase the levels of the antibiotic in your blood, which may raise the risk of side effects.
