Gramocef CV Tablet is used to treat various bacterial infections of the urinary tract, ear, throat, lungs, and uncomplicated gonorrhoea. It contains Cefixime and Clavulanic acid, which work by preventing the formation of bacterial cell covering, which is necessary for their survival, thereby, killing the bacteria and preventing the spread of infections. In some cases, you may experience certain common side effects, such as diarrhoea, nausea, and vomiting. Before taking this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you are allergic to any of its components or if you are pregnant/breastfeeding, and about all the medications you are taking and pre-existing medical conditions.

Here are the precise steps to cope with diarrhoea caused by medication usage:

Inform Your Doctor: Notify your doctor immediately about your diarrhoea symptoms. This allows them to adjust your medication or provide guidance on managing side effects.
Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of fluids to replace lost water and electrolytes. Choose water, clear broth, and electrolyte-rich drinks. Avoid carbonated or caffeinated beverages to effectively rehydrate your body.
Follow a Bland Diet: Eat easy-to-digest foods to help firm up your stool and settle your stomach. Try incorporating bananas, rice, applesauce, toast, plain crackers, and boiled vegetables into your diet.
Avoid Trigger Foods: Steer clear of foods that can worsen diarrhoea, such as spicy, fatty, or greasy foods, high-fibre foods, and dairy products (especially if you're lactose intolerant).
Practice Good Hygiene: Maintain good hygiene to prevent the spread of infection. To stay healthy, wash your hands frequently, clean and disinfect surfaces regularly, and avoid exchanging personal belongings with others.
Take Anti-Diarrheal Medications: If your doctor advises, anti-diarrheal medications such as loperamide might help manage diarrhoea symptoms. Always follow your doctor's directions.
Keep track of your diarrhoea symptoms. If they don't get better or worse or are accompanied by severe stomach pain, blood, or dehydration signs (like extreme thirst or dark urine), seek medical help.

Gramocef-CV and Dolowin Forte may help reduce infection-related swelling and temporarily relieve tooth pain, but dental pain often returns if the underlying cause is not properly treated. Problems such as deep cavities, gum infections, pus collection, damaged tooth roots, or wisdom tooth issues may require dental procedures such as cleaning, drainage, filling, or root canal treatment for long-term relief. Warm saltwater rinses, proper oral hygiene, and avoiding very cold, hot, or sugary foods may help reduce irritation around the painful tooth. Try not to chew on the affected side, as continuous pressure can worsen inflammation and discomfort. Maintaining hydration and keeping the mouth clean may also support healing. Pain that persists despite treatment may suggest a deeper infection or nerve involvement within the tooth. A dental examination can help determine whether the infection is spreading or whether additional treatment is needed. Ignoring persistent tooth pain for long periods may worsen swelling and increase discomfort.

Co-administration of Gramocef CV Tablet with Cholera vaccine may reduce the effectiveness of the vaccine.

How to manage the interaction:
Talk to your doctor before receiving the cholera vaccine if you are currently being treated with Gramocef CV Tablet or have been treated within the last 14 days. To ensure adequate vaccine response, you should not receive cholera vaccine until at least 14 days after you complete your antibiotic therapy. Do not discontinue the medication without consulting a doctor.
