Medlen 10mg Tablet is used to treat psoriasis (scaly, itchy, and red patches on the skin), or vitiligo (discoloured patches in different areas of the body, including the skin, hair). It contains Methoxsalen, which is used alongside ultraviolet-A radiation. It works by reducing the number of cells the skin makes. It may cause side effects such as erythema (skin redness), oedema (swelling), blisters on the skin, and itching. Before using this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you are allergic to any of its components or if you are pregnant/breastfeeding, and about all the medications you are taking and pre-existing medical conditions.

Medlen 10mg Tablet सोरालेन नामक दवाओं के वर्ग से संबंधित है जिसका उपयोग मुख्य रूप से सोरायसिस (त्वचा पर पपड़ीदार, खुजलीदार और लाल धब्बे), या विटिलिगो (त्वचा, बाल सहित शरीर के विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में रंगहीन धब्बे) के इलाज के लिए किया जाता है। सोरायसिस एक पुरानी, दर्दनाक, गैर-संक्रमणीय, निष्क्रिय करने वाली और नुकसानदायक बीमारी है। सोरायसिस आंतरिक और बाहरी सक्रियताओं, जैसे सनबर्न, हल्का आघात, प्रणालीगत दवाओं, संक्रमण और तनाव के कारण भी हो सकता है। विटिलिगो एक विकार है जिसमें त्वचा मेलानोसाइट्स (रंग बनाने वाली कोशिकाएँ) से रंगद्रव्य के नुकसान के कारण सफ़ेद हो जाती है, मेलेनिन जो त्वचा को रंग देता है।

Itching

Here are the few steps for dealing with itching caused by drug use:

Report the itching to your doctor immediately; they may need to change your medication or dosage.
Use a cool, damp cloth on the itchy area to help soothe and calm the skin, reducing itching and inflammation.
Keep your skin hydrated and healthy with gentle, fragrance-free moisturizers.
Try not to scratch, as this can worsen the itching and irritate your skin.
If your doctor prescribes, you can take oral medications or apply topical creams or ointments to help relieve itching.
Track your itching symptoms and follow your doctor's guidance to adjust your treatment plan if needed. If the itching persists, consult your doctor for further advice.

Nausea

Divide your daily food intake into smaller, more frequent meals to reduce nausea.

Taking rasagiline with Medlen 10mg Tablet may increases the blood levels of rasagiline.

How to manage the interaction:
Although there is an interaction between Medlen 10mg Tablet and rasagiline, it can be taken if your doctor has advised it. However, if you experience drowsiness, dizziness, lightheadedness, blood pressure changes, nausea, vomiting, or hallucinations (seeing or hearing things that do not exist) contact a doctor immediately. Do not discontinue any medications without a doctor's advice.

Co-administration of Aminolevulinic acid and Medlen 10mg Tablet together can increase the risk of sunburn.

How to manage the interaction:
Co-administration of Medlen 10mg Tablet with Aminolevulinic acid can possibly result in an interaction, but it can be taken if a doctor has advised it. If you notice that your skin is very sensitive to sunlight or if you have a really bad sunburn, it's important to contact a doctor right away. Following treatment, you should avoid exposure of the eyes and skin to sunlight or bright indoor lights for 48 hours. Do not stop using any medications without talking to a doctor.

Medlen 10mg Tablet लेने से 24 घंटे पहले धूप में निकलने से बचें। UVA-अवशोषित करने वाले कपड़े पहनें, और खुली त्वचा को ढकें, सनग्लास पहनें, या उपचार के बाद चौबीस घंटे तक सनब्लॉक का उपयोग करें।
