It lowers the level of lipids and blocks the ability of the body to produce bad cholesterol and improves the ability of the body to make good cholesterol. It works by preventing the blood from sticking together and decreasing the production of clots, which is harmful to the body. In some cases, it may cause side effects like headache, muscle pain, increased bleeding, stomach pain, indigestion, bruise (discolouration of the skin), bleeding in the nose, weakness, gastrointestinal bleeding, diarrhea, and nausea.
