After stopping Tenoric 25 for a year due to weight loss and Ayurvedic treatment, my blood pressure shot up again. My doctor suggested Tenoric 25 again, but I experienced weaker erections. Is Dilcontin 90 XL a better option?

Tenoric contains a beta blocker (Atenolol) and a diuretic (Chlorthalidone), both of which can cause weaker erections in some people. Dilcontin 90 XL contains a calcium channel blocker (Diltiazem), which usually does not affect sexual function, so it may be a suitable alternative for controlling your blood pressure. Any change should be made under your doctor?s supervision.

Side effects of Tenoric 25 Tablet
  • Talk to your doctor about oral potassium supplements.
  • Eat potassium rich foods such as bananas, avocados, oranges, dark leafy greens, beans and peas, fish, spinach, milk and tomatoes.
  • Inform your doctor if you have an underlying condition, like kidney disease or heart failure, contributing to the imbalance.
  • Eat a balanced diet with potassium (bananas, spinach), sodium (salt, soy sauce), calcium (dairy, leafy greens), and magnesium (nuts, dark chocolate).
