Trilotuss-D Syrup 100 ml is used to treat dry cough and allergic symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, throat irritation, or watery eyes. It works by blocking the transmission of nerve signals from the cough centre in the brain to the muscles that produce cough. Also, it works by blocking the action of histamine, a substance responsible for causing allergic reactions. It contracts and narrows the small blood vessels of nasal passage and airways, relieving congestion or stuffiness in the nose. Some people may experience nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, stomach upset, dizziness, difficulty in sleeping, nervousness, or excitation as common side effects. Before taking this medicine, inform your doctor if you are allergic to any of its components, if you are using or if you have used an MAO inhibitor in the past 14 days, if you are breastfeeding, pregnant or planning pregnancy and also let your doctor know about all the medications you are taking and pre-existing medical conditions.
