Viropil Tablet is used to treat HIV-1 infection. It works by increasing the immune cells that help fight infections in the body and interfering with the working of certain enzymes which are necessary for the reproduction of the virus; thereby decreasing the amount of HIV in the blood. In some cases, this medicine may cause side effects such as fatigue, diarrhoea, headache, pain, fever, cough, and insomnia. Before taking this medicine, inform the doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, taking any other medication, or have any pre-existing medical conditions. Practise safe sex and other necessary precautions as this medicine does not prevent the spread of HIV infection.

There is no risk of HIV transmission from kissing someone on the cheek. HIV spreads mainly through unprotected sexual contact, sharing infected needles, blood transfusion with infected blood, or from mother to baby during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Casual contact such as hugging, shaking hands, or kissing on the cheek does not transmit HIV because the virus is not spread through skin contact or saliva in normal situations. So in your case, kissing on the cheek is considered safe and does not pose a risk of HIV infection.

If a person with HIV has been taking Antiretroviral Therapy (ART) regularly for 5 years, the medicines can remain effective for many years or even lifelong as long as they are taken exactly as prescribed. Resistance usually develops only when doses are missed frequently or treatment is not taken consistently, allowing the virus to multiply and change. With good adherence, regular viral load tests, and follow-up with the doctor, ART can keep the virus well controlled and help the person live a long, healthy life. If resistance ever develops, doctors can adjust the treatment with other effective medicines.
