Diltra 50mg/300mg/300mg Tablet is used in the management of Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) infection. The detailed uses of Diltra 50mg/300mg/300mg Tablet include:

• Treatment of HIV-1 infection: Diltra 50mg/300mg/300mg Tablet is prescribed as part of antiretroviral therapy (ART) to control HIV-1 infection in adults and adolescents.
• Suppression of viral load: Diltra 50mg/300mg/300mg Tablet helps reduce the amount of HIV in the blood, allowing the immune system to function more effectively.
• Prevention of HIV progression: By controlling the virus, Diltra 50mg/300mg/300mg Tablet helps prevent the progression of HIV to Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS) .
• Reduction of HIV transmission risk: Effective viral suppression with Diltra 50mg/300mg/300mg Tablet reduces the risk of transmitting HIV to others.

Diltra 50mg/300mg/300mg Tablet is a combination of three drugs, namely: Dolutegravir, Lamivudine and Tenofovir disoproxil fumarate. Diltra 50mg/300mg/300mg Tablet belongs to a group of antiretroviral medicines indicated for the treatment of HIV-1 infection in adults and children weighing at least 35kgs. Dolutegravir is an integrase inhibitor that increases the immune cells that help fight infections in the body and decreases the amount of HIV in the blood. Lamivudine is a nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor, and Tenofovir disoproxil fumarate is a nucleotide reverse transcriptase inhibitor. They work by interfering with the working of nucleotide and nucleoside reverse transcriptase enzymes which are necessary for the reproduction of the virus. Together, Diltra 50mg/300mg/300mg Tablet helps in treating HIV infection.

• Diltra 50mg/300mg/300mg Tablet can be taken with or without food.
• It is recommended to take Diltra 50mg/300mg/300mg Tablet once daily, or as advised by your doctor.
• Swallow Diltra 50mg/300mg/300mg Tablet as a whole with a glass of water.
• Do not break, chew, or crush it.

• Practise safe sex by using condoms; it helps in reducing contact with semen and vaginal fluids.
• Never share personal items with body fluids or blood on them, such as razor blades or toothbrushes.
• Avoid sharing used needles, other injections or drug equipment.
• Eat a healthy and balanced diet. Eat vitamin and nutrient-rich food such as vegetables and fruits as it helps to boost the immune system. Opt for lean protein and whole grains.
• Avoid eating raw meat and eggs. Consume properly boiled and cooked meat, poultry or seafood.
• Eat bland and low-fat foods, and avoid spicy or oily foods if you experience nausea or vomiting.
• Try to reduce emotional and physical stress by spending time with family or by doing whatever makes you happy.

Do not take Diltra 50mg/300mg/300mg Tablet if you are allergic to any of its components. Inform your doctor if you have a history of hepatitis B or C infection, bone problems, pancreas disorder, kidney/liver problems, or if you are taking dofetilide (anti-arrhythmic agent). Practise safe sex and other necessary precautions as Diltra 50mg/300mg/300mg Tablet does not prevent the spread of HIV infection. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or planning for pregnancy. Avoid breastfeeding while taking Diltra 50mg/300mg/300mg Tablet. Diltra 50mg/300mg/300mg Tablet may cause dizziness, so drive with caution. Diltra 50mg/300mg/300mg Tablet is not recommended for children weighing below 35 kg. Talk to your doctor immediately if you notice any signs or symptoms of infection or inflammation.
