Invasive aspergillosis is an infection caused by Aspergillus fungus. It occurs when the infection spreads from lungs to kidneys, brain, heart or skin. Mucormycosis is a rare but serious fungal infection of the skin or respiratory system that occurs in people with weakened immune systems.

Zisavel 100 mg Capsule contains Isavuconazole (antifungal) that works by inhibiting the synthesis of fungal cell membranes, which are essential for their survival. Thereby, Zisavel 100 mg Capsule kills or inhibits the growth of the fungus.

Take Zisavel 100 mg Capsule as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to take Zisavel 100 mg Capsule for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you based on your medical condition. Some people may experience headache, decreased appetite, drowsiness, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, diarrhoea or chest pain. • Treatment of mucormycosis: Zisavel 100 mg Capsule is also used in treating mucormycosis, a rare but life-threatening fungal infection caused by Mucorales species, which can affect the sinuses, brain, or lungs.
• Systemic antifungal therapy: It helps inhibit the growth of fungi by blocking the synthesis of ergosterol, a vital component of the fungal cell membrane, thereby exerting fungicidal or fungistatic effects.

• Zisavel 100 mg Capsule can be taken with or without food.
