My baby girl is 3 months and 25 days old. Her birth weight was 3.25 kg, and her current weight is 5.6 kg. Is this weight gain normal for her age?

A drop from 2.3 kg to 2 kg at 30 days suggests the baby may not be getting enough milk or may have an underlying health issue that requires prompt assessment. Episodes of continuous crying may be due to hunger, colic or discomfort, and should be assessed along with the feeding pattern and urine output. Please seek urgent review by a paediatrician and ensure regular feeds every 2 to 3 hours to help improve weight gain while monitoring wet nappies and overall activity.
