On the other hand, diaper rash, skin irritation, redness, fungal infection, or discomfort might result from wearing a damp or unclean diaper for an extended period of time. Change diapers often, clean the area carefully, give yourself some time without diapers, and apply a mild diaper rash treatment if necessary to avoid issues. See a paediatrician if there is a severe rash, oedema, fever, or ongoing skin infection.
