My right kidney is functioning at only 10%, and I am a cancer patient (colon cancer). My entire large intestine has been removed. I am 73 years old and a cancer survivor. My health is currently good, and I eat all kinds of food (vegetarian). However, I feel a lack of strength in my shoulders, and sometimes I experience a slight pain in my right hand while driving. My hemoglobin is 13 and creatinine is 1.17, which is normal. (All medical tests are normal.) A doctor prescribed Sharkoferrol to me when I was a child. Please guide

Given your age, colon cancer history, and that your right kidney is functioning at only 10%, you should not take Sharkoferrol or any iron supplement without a doctor’s advice, especially since your hemoglobin is normal. Mild shoulder weakness and occasional hand discomfort are likely related to muscle weakness or posture, not iron deficiency. Focus on balanced nutrition, adequate protein, gentle strength exercises, and regular check-ups with your doctor and nephrologist to keep your kidney and overall health monitored, and discuss any new symptoms before starting any supplements or medications.
I eat well, but my weight is still not increasing. Is it safe for me to take Sharkoferrol Syrup for this problem?

A proper medical assessment is needed to understand why your weight is not increasing. You should not take Sharkoferrol Syrup on your own because only your doctor can check your health, identify any deficiencies, and decide if this supplement is suitable for you. Your doctor will provide a safe treatment plan that may include supplements, if needed, along with diet and lifestyle guidance.
