LOSIUM 50MG TABLET . is used alone or in combination with other medications to treat high blood pressure.
. is also used to decrease the risk of stroke in people who have high blood pressure and a heart condition called left ventricular hypertrophy (enlargement of the walls of the left side of the heart).
. is also used to treat kidney disease in people who have type 2 diabetes (condition in which the body does not use insulin normally and therefore cannot control the amount of sugar in the blood).

Side Effects :

. leg, knee or back pain
. muscle cramps or weakness
. diarrhoea
. heartburn
. decreased sensitivity to touch

LOSIUM 50MG TABLET comes as a tablet to take by mouth. It is usually taken once or twice a day with or without food. Take this medicine exactly as directed by physician.

LOSIUM 50MG TABLET keeps blood vessels from narrowing, which lowers blood pressure and improves blood flow.

• Do not take this medicine if you
- are allergic to it
- have diabetes
• Tell your doctor before taking this medicine if you:
- have had a history of angiooedema (swelling of the face, lips, throat and/or tongue)
- suffer from excessive vomiting or diarrhoea
- receive diuretics (medicines that increase the amount of water that you pass out through your kidneys)
- suffer from heart failure with or without renal impairment or concomitant severe life threatening cardiac arrhythmias
- have problems with your heart valves or heart muscle
- suffer from primary hyperaldosteronism (a syndrome associated with increased secretion of the hormone aldosterone by the adrenal gland, caused by an abnormality within the gland)
