Gladmet G2 Tablet works by decreasing the amount of glucose absorbed from the food and the amount of glucose made by the liver. It helps the pancreas to produce insulin and helps the body use insulin efficiently.
Gladmet G2 Tablet may increase the risk of low blood sugar levels, especially with alcohol intake, exercise more than usual, delay or miss snacks or meals. In type 1 diabetes, the body does not produce insulin as the islet cells (insulin-producing cells) in the pancreas are destroyed completely. In type 2 diabetes, though islet cells are working, the body doesn't respond to insulin as the body becomes resistant to it.
