Patients may explore substitutes in the following scenarios:
Before you switch from Ibrukem Capsule to another medicine, here are some important points to keep in mind:
Most substitutes contain the same active ingredient - IBRUTINIB-140MG, but the fillers, coating, or manufacturing quality may vary slightly.
Even if the salt is the same, your doctor can confirm if the substitute is right for your condition, dosage, and health history.
Some people may react differently to certain brands due to inactive ingredients. If you notice any side effects, inform your doctor immediately.
A lower-priced substitute doesn't mean it's less effective. Many generic medicines work just as well as branded ones.
Always match the substitute’s strength (e.g., 5mg, 10mg) and form (tablet, capsule, syrup) with what your doctor prescribed.
Ibrukem Capsule is used in the treatment of Mantle cell lymphoma, chronic lymphocytic leukaemia, and Waldenstramps macro globulinaemia. The detailed uses of Ibrukem Capsule are as follows:
Ibrukem Capsule belongs to the group of anti-cancer medicines called protein kinase inhibitors used to treat the following blood cancers in adults- mantle cell lymphoma, chronic lymphocytic leukaemia, and waldenström's macroglobulinaemia. This medicine may also be used to treat marginal zone lymphoma (cancer that begins in a type of white blood cells that normally fights infection) and chronic graft vs host disease (a complication of hematopoietic stem-cell transplant). Ibrukem Capsule contains Ibrutinib, which works by blocking Bruton's tyrosine kinase (a protein in the body that helps cancer cells grow and survive). Thereby, it kills and reduces the number of cancer cells. It also slows down the worsening of cancer.
