Patients may explore substitutes in the following scenarios:
Before you switch from Lanib 250 mg Tablet to another medicine, here are some important points to keep in mind:
Most substitutes contain the same active ingredient - LAPATINIB-250MG, but the fillers, coating, or manufacturing quality may vary slightly.
Even if the salt is the same, your doctor can confirm if the substitute is right for your condition, dosage, and health history.
Some people may react differently to certain brands due to inactive ingredients. If you notice any side effects, inform your doctor immediately.
A lower-priced substitute doesn't mean it's less effective. Many generic medicines work just as well as branded ones.
Always match the substitute’s strength (e.g., 5mg, 10mg) and form (tablet, capsule, syrup) with what your doctor prescribed.
Lanib 250 mg Tablet is used in the treatment of Breast Cancer. The detailed use of Lanib 250 mg Tablet is as follows:
Lanib 250 mg Tablet contains Lapatinib as an active ingredient, which is used in combination with capecitabine for treating patients with HER2-positive advanced or metastatic breast cancer who have received prior treatment. This medicine works by inhibiting the excess production of a human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) protein in the mammalian cells. This causes inhibition of the cancer cell growth and, finally, initiation of apoptosis.
