The detailed uses of Myelosafe Capsule include:</p><ul><li><strong>Treatment of multiple myeloma:</strong> Myelosafe Capsule is used in combination with other medicines to treat patients with multiple myeloma, a cancer of plasma cells.</li><li><strong>Management of myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS):</strong> Myelosafe Capsule is effective in treating certain types of MDS, a group of disorders caused by poorly formed or dysfunctional blood cells.</li><li><strong>Treatment of mantle cell lymphoma:</strong> Myelosafe Capsule is used to manage mantle cell lymphoma, a rare and aggressive type of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.</li><li><strong>Treatment of follicular lymphoma:</strong> Myelosafe Capsule may be used in adults with follicular lymphoma, a slow-growing type of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, especially after prior treatment failure.</li></ul>
Medicinal Benefits:
Myelosafe Capsule is used to treat multiple myeloma, myelodysplastic syndromes, mantle cell lymphoma, and follicular lymphoma. It is also used to treat a type of myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) known as deletion 5q MDS, where part of chromosome 5 is missing.
Myelosafe Capsule works by helping the body immune system and directly attacks cancer. It stops the development of cancer cells, stops the blood vessels growing in cancer, and stimulates the part of the immune system to attack the cancer cells.
Do not stop taking Myelosafe Capsule on your own. You are advised to take Myelosafe Capsule for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending on your medical condition. Do not be reluctant to speak with your doctor if you experience any difficulty while taking Myelosafe Capsule .
No, it is not safe to father a child while taking Myelosafe Capsule . Myelosafe Capsule can pass into human semen. During sexual activity with females of reproductive potential, always use effective contraception such as latex or synthetic condom while taking Myelosafe Capsule and for at least 4weeks after discontinuing Myelosafe Capsule , even if you have undergone a successful vasectomy. Male patients taking Myelosafe Capsule must not donate semen whilst taking Myelosafe Capsule and for 4weeks after discontinuing Myelosafe Capsule .
Patients taking Myelosafe Capsule must not donate blood during the treatment with Myelosafe Capsule and for 1month after discontinuation of Myelosafe Capsule as the donated blood might be given to pregnant women whose foetus should not be exposed to Myelosafe Capsule since it causes severe birth defects.
People with multiple myeloma taking Myelosafe Capsule may have an increased risk for blood clots in veins, arteries, and lungs. The risk is even higher if you are taking dexamethasone with Myelosafe Capsule for treating multiple myeloma. Consult your doctor immediately if you notice symptoms such as shortness of breath, chest pain, and swelling in the legs or arm.
Myelosafe Capsule might cause neutropenia (low white blood cells) or thrombocytopenia (low platelets). Blood count should be checked regularly during treatment with Myelosafe Capsule .
You should take Myelosafe Capsule at the same time every day. You can take the capsules with or without food.

Common side effects of Myelosafe Capsule may include fatigue, constipation, diarrhoea, muscle cramps, nausea, headache, upper respiratory tract infection, dizziness, shortness of breath, and weakness. Talk with your doctor if you persistently experience any of these side effects.
Myelosafe Capsule should not be taken during pregnancy as it causes severe birth defects or death to an unborn baby. Use highly effective contraception if you are a woman of childbearing age. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, think you are pregnant or planning for pregnancy.
Avoid breastfeeding while taking Myelosafe Capsule as it is unknown if Myelosafe Capsule passes into breastmilk.
