About Lenocell 10 Capsule

Lenocell 10 Capsule is used to treat multiple myeloma, myelodysplastic syndromes, deletion 5q MDS, mantle cell lymphoma, and follicular lymphoma. Multiple myeloma is a cancer of plasma cells that causes abnormal antibody production and bone damage.

Lenocell 10 Capsule contains ‘lenalidomide’, which works by helping the body’s immune system and directly attacks cancer.

In some cases, you may experience certain common side effects, such as fatigue, constipation, diarrhoea, muscle cramps, nausea, headache, upper respiratory tract infection, dizziness, shortness of breath, and weakness. Talk with your doctor if you experience any of these side effects persistently.

Inform your doctor if you are allergic to Lenocell 10 Capsule or any of its components. Avoid taking Lenocell 10 Capsule if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Lenocell 10 Capsule may cause dizziness, sleepiness, tiredness, and blurred vision, so drive only if you are alert. Men and women taking Lenocell 10 Capsule must use effective contraception.

  • Management of myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS): Lenocell 10 Capsule is effective in treating certain types of MDS, a group of disorders caused by poorly formed or dysfunctional blood cells.

During sexual activity with females of reproductive potential, always use effective contraception such as latex or synthetic condom while taking Lenocell 10 Capsule and for at least 4weeks after discontinuing Lenocell 10 Capsule, even if you have undergone a successful vasectomy. Male patients taking Lenocell 10 Capsule must not donate semen whilst taking Lenocell 10 Capsule and for 4weeks after discontinuing Lenocell 10 Capsule.

Patients taking Lenocell 10 Capsule must not donate blood during the treatment with Lenocell 10 Capsule and for 1month after discontinuation of Lenocell 10 Capsule as the donated blood might be given to pregnant women whose foetus should not be exposed to Lenocell 10 Capsule since it causes severe birth defects.

People with multiple myeloma taking Lenocell 10 Capsule may have an increased risk for blood clots in veins, arteries, and lungs. The risk is even higher if you are taking dexamethasone with Lenocell 10 Capsule for treating multiple myeloma. Consult your doctor immediately if you notice symptoms such as shortness of breath, chest pain, and swelling in the legs or arm.

Lenocell 10 Capsule might cause neutropenia (low white blood cells) or thrombocytopenia (low platelets). Blood count should be checked regularly during treatment with Lenocell 10 Capsule.

You should take Lenocell 10 Capsule at the same time every day. You can take the capsules with or without food.
