Saptob F Eye Drop 5ml contains Tobramycin and Fluorometholone used to treat bacterial eye infections. Tobramycin is an antibiotic that inhibits the production of essential proteins that are necessary for bacteria to grow, multiply and increase in numbers. Thereby, it destroys bacteria. Fluorometholone is a corticosteroid that inhibits the release of certain chemical messengers in the body that cause redness, itching, and swelling. Thereby, reduces the redness and swelling caused due to bacterial infections.

You are not recommended to wear contact lenses while using Saptob F Eye Drop 5ml as it contains benzalkonium chloride, a preservative that changes the colour of the contact lens as it may be absorbed by soft contact lens. Benzalkonium chloride also causes irritation in the eye, especially if you have disorders of the cornea (transparent layer at the front of the eye) or dry eyes. Therefore, you are advised to remove contact lenses before applying Saptob F Eye Drop 5ml and reinsert after 15 minutes of using Saptob F Eye Drop 5ml. Also, inform your doctor if you experience pain, stinging or abnormal sensation in the eye after using Saptob F Eye Drop 5ml.

Saptob F Eye Drop 5ml may cause temporary blurred vision immediately after applying. Therefore, you are recommended to wait until your vision is clear before driving or operating machinery.

You are recommended to maintain a time gap of a minimum of 5 minutes between using Saptob F Eye Drop 5ml and other eye drops. However, please consult a doctor before using other medicines with Saptob F Eye Drop 5ml.

Saptob F Eye Drop 5ml is not used to treat fungal infection in the eye. Saptob F Eye Drop 5ml is only used to treat bacterial eye infections.

You are not recommended to stop using Saptob F Eye Drop 5ml without consulting your doctor as it may worsen the infection. Therefore, use Saptob F Eye Drop 5ml for as long as your doctor has prescribed it and if you experience any difficulty while taking Saptob F Eye Drop 5ml, please consult your doctor.

Saptob F Eye Drop 5ml can be used for as long as it has been prescribed by the doctor. The dose and duration will be determined by the doctor based on your health condition.

Saptob F Eye Drop 5ml is for ophthalmic use only. Wash your hands thoroughly before and after using Saptob F Eye Drop 5ml. To use Saptob F Eye Drop 5ml, lie down, tilt your head backwards and gently pull your lower eyelid with your index finger to create a small pocket. Instil the prescribed number of drops into the pocket. Close your eyes for 1-2 minutes. After use, securely replace the cap. Avoid touching the container's tip to your eye, eyelids, or surrounding areas to prevent contamination.

Saptob F Eye Drop 5ml can be stored in a cool and dry place away from sunlight. Keep it out of sight and reach of children.

The side effects of Saptob F Eye Drop 5ml include eye redness, eye irritation, itchy or swollen eyelids, mild burning or stinging sensation in the eye, or eye discomfort. Consult the doctor if any of these symptoms persist or worsen.
