Soludine M Plus Ointment is also used in infection control during insertion and care of urinary catheters, circumcision (removal of the foreskin from the human penis), suture removal and dressing changes. It works by inhibiting the growth of infection-causing microbes. Soludine M Plus Ointment is effective against bacteria (Gram-positive and Gram-negative, including antibiotic-resistant and antiseptic-resistant strains), fungi, viruses, and protozoa. Soludine M Plus Ointment is used in degerming (physical removal of microbes), stasis ulcers (wound on the leg or ankle due to damaged veins), decubitus ulcers (bed sores), and the umbilical area. It is also used for degerming intravenous devices in blood transfusions, hyperalimentation (artificial supply of nutrients), cutdowns, and central venous lines.
