About Acozolo-100 Capsule

Acozolo-100 Capsule belongs to a class of medicines called 'anti-cancer/ antitumor agent', used to treat specific forms of brain tumours such as glioblastoma multiforme (a type of tumour that grows and spreads rapidly) in adults and malignant glioma, including glioblastoma multiforme or anaplastic astrocytoma (a rare malignant brain tumour) in patients older than 3years. A brain tumour is an uncontrolled and unregulated proliferation of cells in the brain. 

Acozolo-100 Capsule contains Temozolomide which works by inhibiting the production of DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid-genetic material of the cell), thereby affecting cell growth and division. Thus, Acozolo-100 Capsule prevents tumours from growing.

Take Acozolo-100 Capsule as prescribed. In some cases, Acozolo-100 Capsule may cause loss of appetite, anxiety, confusion, headache, vomiting, nausea, diarrhoea, constipation, muscle weakness, muscle aches, and fever. Most of these side effects of Acozolo-100 Capsule do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects are persistent, reach out to your doctor.

Let your doctor know if you are allergic to any of the contents. Acozolo-100 Capsule is not recommended for patients with severe bone marrow depression or significant bleeding. Avoid taking Acozolo-100 Capsule if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Both women and men using Acozolo-100 Capsule should use birth control to avoid pregnancy and fathering a child. • Acozolo-100 Capsule can be taken with or without food, or as directed by your doctor. To minimize potential side effects like nausea and vomiting, it is recommended to take Acozolo-100 Capsule consistently either on an empty stomach or with meals.• Acozolo-100 Capsule is usually taken once daily; however, follow your doctor's instructions regarding dosage and timing to ensure optimal effectiveness.• Swallow Acozolo-100 Capsule as a whole with a glass of water.• Do not crush, chew, or break Acozolo-100 Capsule, as this may impact absorption.

What if I have taken an overdose of Acozolo-100 Capsule

Do not take more than the prescribed dose of Acozolo-100 Capsule as it may cause overdose. The symptoms of overdose include unusual bleeding or bruising; red/black/tarry stools; red/dark brown/pink urine; coughing up or vomiting blood or material that looks like coffee grounds; sore throat, fever, ongoing congestion and cough, or other signs of infection. If you suspect you have taken overdose or notice signs of overdose, please consult a doctor immediately.

Drug Warnings

Acozolo-100 Capsule should be taken under strict medical supervision. The doctor will regularly monitor your condition while taking Acozolo-100 Capsule. To treat your condition effectually, continue taking Acozolo-100 Capsule for as long as your doctor has prescribed. Do not stop Acozolo-100 Capsule midway under any circumstances without consulting the healthcare professional. Inform your doctor if you have an allergy to any components of Acozolo-100 Capsule. Inform your doctor before taking Acozolo-100 Capsule if you have allergic reactions, infections, lung, renal or hepatic disorders or low blood count (including neutropenia, lymphopenia, thrombocytopenia).
