Actifed Plus Tablet 10's is a combination medicine used to relieve symptoms of cold, flu and allergies such as the runny nose, watery eyes, sneezing, nasal congestion, fever and blocked sinuses. The common cold is a respiratory illness that affects the nose and throat. It is mostly caused by a virus known as rhinovirus.

Actifed Plus Tablet 10's contains Paracetamol (Analgesic), Triprolidine (Antihistamine) and Pseudoephedrine (Decongestant). Paracetamol blocks the release of chemical messengers that cause pain and fever. Triprolidine reduces the effects of histamine, which causes watery eyes, runny nose and sneezing. Pseudoephedrine works by reducing the swelling of blood vessels in the nose. This helps you to breathe more easily. Together, Actifed Plus Tablet 10's helps in providing relief from cold symptoms.

Take Actifed Plus Tablet 10's as prescribed. You are advised to take Actifed Plus Tablet 10's for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending on your medical condition. Sometimes, you may experience certain common side effects such as dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth, constipation and headache. What if I have taken an overdose of Actifed Plus Tablet 10's

Avoid exceeding the recommended dose as it could lead to an overdose. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, sweating, loss of appetite, stomach/abdominal pain, agitation, extreme tiredness, confusion, hallucinations, flushing, yellowing eyes/skin, dark urine, and seizures. In children, excitement may occur first and may be followed by: drowsiness, loss of coordination, loss of consciousness, and seizures. If you/your child experiences these symptoms or suspect that an overdose has occurred, seek immediate medical attention.

Do not take Actifed Plus Tablet 10's if you are allergic to any of its contents, if you are taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors or have taken them in the last 14 days. Actifed Plus Tablet 10's contains paracetamol, do not take any other products containing paracetamol along with Actifed Plus Tablet 10's unless prescribed. Inform your doctor if you have asthma, COPD, blockage in the stomach or intestine, high blood pressure, enlarged prostate or urinary problems, glaucoma, diabetes, overactive thyroid, pheochromocytoma (tumour of the adrenal gland), heart, kidney or liver impairment. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Actifed Plus Tablet 10's is not recommended for children below 4 years as safety and effectiveness have not been established.
